A Long Day of Flying

Today was a long day consisting of flight, time zone changes, and exploring Seoul. We started our day extra early to catch our 6 am flight. We arrived at the airport around 3:15-3:30, before the Delta Airlines front desk opened, so we had to wait until 4. Arriving early turned out to be the right call because the line got to be really long. I got through security and arrived at the terminal with my breakfast in hand ready for the flight to Atlanta. The first flight went well. It was only an hour long so I ate my breakfast and it was over quickly. We had a two-hour layover until our next flight to Seoul, so I had plenty of time to get some lunch while preparing myself for the 15-hour flight.

I felt lucky for the long flight because the middle seat was unoccupied which granted me a lot more leg room. I tried to get some sleep on the long flight, but I am a light sleeper, and I was only about to get around an hour of sleep. To entertain myself, I watched a couple of movies that were offered on the plane’s entertainment screens. I also played chess against the computer on the hardest difficulty, but it didn’t seem too hard for me because I won all 4 games I played against it. Lastly, I read a good portion of a book that I downloaded onto my phone. The food that was offered was also decent as far as airplane food goes. Other than the sleep deprivation, the trip wasn’t too bad.

After getting to the hotel and getting situated, a portion of my group went exploring around the surrounding area. We also got some food that was cooked for us at our table. The price also seemed pretty cheap for the amount of food we got. Now it is time to get some well-needed rest and prepare for tomorrow’s tours.
