First Full Day

Today was a long day, but a good one! We had to be ready to go at 8:05 this morning, so we had a jammed packed day full of adventure!

First we went to the University of Augsburg. Here we met up with the German students again, did a project with them, met the other professors, and listened to a lecture from Audi. After the end of lectures and presentations, I was surprised to see that the German students do not clap, they knock on the tables in fists and that there were sheep on the campus. We also ate in the dining hall, this was a culture shock moment as it was very different from ours. They had bottled drinks, used a tray to get food, and the food was actually good.

After the morning was over, our afternoon consisted of a tour (guided by the Germans) of their campus. I was surprised by the amount of sports recreational area. There were so many activities and facilities available for use and rental. After this, we were in a scavenger hunt competing against other groups. It basically was a quiz of what we know about this city while visiting the locations. This was a great opportunity to get to know one another and the city. Although it rained, the city was so beautiful. My favorite part was the Dom, it is gorgeous. The inside was full of color and gold decor. After this, we went to a brewery which was so large. From here we went to an authentic Italian restaurant. I split a pizza and pasta with my friend (shoutout Rachel), the pizza was 10/10!!!
