Blenheim Palace and Oxford University

This morning we got on the bus to head to Blenheim Palace. On the way there everyone took a good nap on the way! When we got there we met Tim! We were all happy to see him because we already had a tour with him. We went to Blenheim Palace and Oxford University.

First in Blenheim Palace, we walked around and got to see a fashion show. Sadly, they were just mannequins but the outfits and dresses were gorgeous. They had such beautiful ceilings and it is incredible the amount of time put into them. My favorite dress was when we first walked in. The mannequin wearing it was sitting in a chair with the train of her dress lying behind and around her. I wish I could have worn it to prom, it was gorgeous! Here it is here.

After Blenheim Palace, we were off to hunt for a place to eat. We decided to eat at Shake Shack. It was my first time eating there. I got chicken bites, fries, and water. It was so good! We were going to get milkshakes but we’re all so full from the meal. I was happy with my first experience there and I wouldn’t have wanted to do it with any other group of people!

We then went off to Oxford University. I loved how it was so adaptable to have people walking around. There were so many cute shops and places to eat. I was happy to get a sweatshirt at one of the bookstores. We walked through the Harry Potter movie! We wished, but it was still very cool. Our tour guide Tim was able to show us around and give us some fun facts. We also learned that Tim was in a few movies. He had a few lines in some of them too which is so cool! When we started to walk through some of the buildings we were allowed to get a small screen and a pair of headphones to watch small videos. The videos were small parts of the buildings telling history about it. I liked how there were signs to tell you when to change to the next video and when to start each part of it. One of the sections that really caught my attention was the glass windows. They would paint on them with such small and fine details which would be so hard. Their talent was really able to show. The views were incredible and I can not imagine having that much land in my name.

At the end of our tour and shopping, we got back on the bus and headed back to Birmingham. We needed to go get dinner and we decided to get Tortilla, which is a burrito and burrito bowl place. It was so good and reminded us of chipotle. Tomorrow we will present at Birmingham City University and are excited to share the information we have gathered. We all had a fun day and were eager to go back and finish our project for tomorrow.
