Hello everyone! Today is Sunday and we went on a tour of the Blenheim Palace. We took an hour and a half long bus ride from our hotel to the palace. The bus ride was very fun and relaxing as we played pictionary to pass the time. The weather was extremely hot today, but the sun is out and feels amazing.

The front of the palace was absolutely beautiful. There were acres and acres of green grass with many trees all lined up in a symmetrical formation.

We walked through the front of the palace and into this middle section where there are many different buildings. Then, we ventured into the palace where a fashion show was set up! Dresses that famous people have worn such as Rhianna and Reese Witherspoon were on display. There were also many artifacts within the palace. There was a small box that played recordings so we could tour the place ourselves!

My favorite part was the garden behind the palace. It was so beautiful and it had many statues and water fountains. There was also a huge private lake in the back! There is a maze within the grounds, but we ran out of time to attempt it. That may have been for the best because the group is not very directionally sound per say. Before we departed, we acquired some delicious gelato!

Next, we returned to the bus for our 30 minute journey to Oxford. In case you do not know, Oxford is a prestigious college in the United Kingdom! We got off the bus and went to grab some lunch. We also went shopping and my friends got some cute clothes!

An expert guide took us on a tour of the campus. He explained many of their traditions as he graduated from Oxford. He took us on a tour through the Oxford gardens which are beautiful. There are flowers everywhere and the lawn is extremely green. We then went into part of the school. It looked exactly like Harry Potter! The architecture was insane and I loved the designs. We got head phones and mini digital maps to help us on our tour. After the tour, we sat down and pondered what we saw and shared the things/ places we have enjoyed the most. It was entertaining to hear what everyone has thought about what we experienced today.

After our time was up, we boarded our bus and headed back to our hotel. All of us have been working on our presentations for tomorrow. We have to present in front of nurses, educators, and students at Birmingham City University. We are all very nervous, but we are also excited to share what we have learned throughout our time here! The section I am presenting is on the education system of the United States. I am looking forward to sharing how America’s system of education works in comparison to what we have learned about the United Kingdom. I hope everyone who attends learns something new and appreciates our work!
Sommer of us ordered pizza and wings for our celebratory dinner tonight. They were amazing and I am so full!
Thank you for tuning in to my blog! You will all hear from me tomorrow!
