I started today around 6:30 after going to bed early yesterday. I read on my phone for a while before going to breakfast around 7:40. I then returned to my hotel room until 8:30. We boarded a bus and got lunch. Lunch was a hot pot with beef, mushrooms, udon noodles and greens in it. They also gave us fried rice after the hot pot. We then had a little time before getting back on the bus. I went to a 7 Eleven with some others and got some flavored iced.

We then took the bus to Hyundai Motor Company. They showed us a short presentation about the company and their factory in Asan. We then took a group photo before taking a tour of the factory. The factory was cool with a lot of the process being automated especially in the beginning. We weren’t allowed in the paint shop because of how sensitive it is to dust particles. I like their IONIQ6 vehicles since it is an EV. The IONIQ6 uses hydrogen fuel cells for its motor. I would like to eventually have an electric car. I think that they are cool and that they help with carbon emissions. I know they are not without their problems different from traditional, diesel cars but still there. I hope some of the problems with electrical cars will be solved in time since they are still a relatively new technology. Overall I am very excited to see what Hyundai will produce in the future.

After Hyundai we got back on our bus to head to TK Elevator. We got to tour their factory and ride on their shuttle elevator. I also got to drop into a foam pit. It was part of their safety course for employees and guests. I lost one of the safety shoes they gave me in the foam pit. They then told me to take off the other one. I couldn’t wear the ones the group brought along since they were too big. The ones they gave me were also slightly big on me. I am only a size 6.5-7 for women’s shoes. I felt bad for losing one of their shoes. They gave us a really nice gift bag with a desk pad, stationary materials, pen, keychain, and water bottle.
