Day 9 – Probiotics and Progressions

Another day, another 8:30 AM meetup. I think 8:30 is actually the sweet spot of meetup times. Enough time to grab breakfast and shower but it’s not late enough to encourage me to sleep in. Also, I try to the spicy pork this morning, I love it!

So we met up in the morning, dressed in our company visiting business attire and set for the bus that took us to HY’s headquarters. HY is a dairy company that is very popular in Korea for making very gut healthy products. However, Kay warns us against drinking too many at once. In the tour, we saw how they prepare their employees to prevent contamination and saw their automation systems. They also gifted all of us with really cute tote bags and souvenirs.

We took a break for lunch where I had more ramen. I had to rush to finish it to make the bus, so my stomach was bloated for a little while. Then, we went to the Samsung Innovation Museum. This museum essentially took us through time and we saw how technology developed from the first spark of electricity. It was really cool and really helped me appreciate all the recent advancements. They also introduced newer ideas, such as a combined washer and drier. There was also an alternative to a chalkboard that actually has physical benefits because chalk is surprisingly damaging to the body.

After this, we went on another scavenger hunt, this time in groups. My group merged with another out of convenience and we proceeded to go around Seoul, seeing cool sites and taking pictures together. The hand on the wall was by far the hardest and I was really proud of myself when I spotted it!

For dinner, we went up into the Lotte tower and had some Lotteria burgers. A little overpriced, admittedly.
