Presentations and farewell dinner!

Today was a stressful, relieving, and sad day. Today we presented our projects with the German students. It felt like this entire trip has led up to this project and today was that day. I think that everyone did a great job considering the language barrier, packed schedules, and short time frame. After we were done we ate lunch at the University of Augsburg and caught the tram back to the hotel. After we changed, Eric, Meadow, Julie, Piper, Rachel, and I spent some time together. We went to a coffee house to grab a cup of coffee and then to gelato for a sweet treat (our reward for completing this project). After that we shopped all day! We even stumbled on a farmers market and got some fresh fruit (the lady gave me mine for free). After shopping we came back to the hotel, got changed into nice clothes for our farewell dinner with the German students. It was so nice to be able to say our goodbyes. I didn’t think that it would be as sad as it turned out to be, but if you think about it, the odds of seeing these students again are really slim. So when we said goodbye, it was a real goodbye. Even though we had a short time together, experiences like this are truly unforgettable and makes you create the strongest bonds. I am so happy and excited that I now have friends from the other side of the world.
