Today was another day full of company visits. First up with Freddit Co. / HY. I had never heard about this company beforehand, so I went in practically blind to this one. Upon arriving, they had us change out of our normal shoes and put on some slippers, to keep the place clean. We then watched a presentation and learned that the company makes what we have been drinking every morning for breakfast from the hotel. Every morning I either drank or walked by these little bottles of probiotic yogurts, without knowing who made them.

We then went on for a quick tour of the facilities. Once again no pictures were allowed, unfortunately. We went through the whole process of where they mix the ingredients, then go through a number of processes with mixing certain things, changing temperatures, etc. It was a lot to follow. One thing I took away from this visit was the importance of presentation. There were a lot of things from this tour that were presented very well, and it really makes the company come off as much more professional.

Later on we went to the Samsung Innovation Museum. This museum was really cool and interesting, especially for a computer engineering nerd like me. We went all the way from the discovery of electricity, to light, to modern Samsung products and innovations. All of it was really cool to see of course, although some of it just feels funnily unnecessary. For example, when is anyone ever going to need a rotation television? Nonetheless, it was very cool to see, and once again very well presented. The museum felt very clean, not in the sense of actually cleanliness (although it was) but just things being sharp and felt like how a tech museum should feel.

Later on me and my group had another Dr. Yun assigned scavenger hunt which brought us to the Lotte World Tower area. Under the tower was a massive mall, one of many we had seen in Korea. It had every store you could ever think of, although it wasn’t quite as big as one of the other malls that even had an aquarium and a casino inside. Later on, we went to the top of the tower which is the tallest in Korea. By the time we got to the top it was already night time, and the view was amazing. But there isn’t much else to do at the top of the tower other than look outside, and my group was already well tired, so we decided to wrap up the day.
