Day 12 – Han River Cruise and Final Presentation

Today was the final full day we would have in Korea, and the Han River Cruise was waiting for us. Beforehand, though we had some time in the morning to meet with our group and work on our final presentation. Even though this trip has been full of a lot of fun and cool experiences, it was still school. In our presentation we had to come up with a business idea based on the things we learned in Korea and include some smart systems. My group came up with an idea for a Topgolf but baseball idea, due to the popularity of baseball in Korea and we thought it was just a good idea. We included things like VIP access, the ball return system of the game, and distance sensors in the balls for our smart systems, among a lot of other business related things that I had no idea about.

After some time working on the presentation, we made our way to the subway for the last time. We arrived to our destination which was a big park by the river where the boats took off. Before going on the boat, we had some lunch, which were provided to us. We got some lunch boxes complete with Korean style rice, chicken, and a few other Korean side dishes as well as a cup of seaweed soup. The park was huge and really nice, with a lot of people walking around or biking on the nice day.

Finally we got on the boat, and most people made their way to the top deck to see everything outside. It was a beautiful day, and quickly the area was surrounded by seagulls. We later learned that the boat actually sold little bags of fish that you could get and through fish off the boat for the seagulls to grab out of the air. Of course, I had to buy a bag, and time flew by as I was having a great time throwing fish and watching the birds either catch it in mid air or dive down into the water to grab it before anyone else did. Afterwards, though, was good time for reflection on the trip. Looking out over the water, it started to hit me that the trip was coming to an end, and I was thinking about all the great times we had in the trip. I will definitely take a lot of memories from this trip with me for the rest of my life.

After the boat, we went back home, and not soon after was time for our presentations. They went very smoothly, and we also presented our videos, which were great. The videos will be really nice to come across whenever I feel like in life to remember everything that happened on our trip. We then had dinner, walked back to the hotel on our own while popping into stores here and there, and that pretty much ended the last day, with a walk back to the hotel with our group through the streets.
