The last day of being here in Argentina was bittersweet, to say the least. I took the morning to get my thoughts together for the presentations and grab breakfast. We all got together in the morning one last time to share our work of what we had learned on this trip. One of the prompts was what was the most important thing that we learned while being on this trip, and honestly, I do not think I can even begin to answer as just one alone.
There were so many things me as well as my classmates learned while being on this trip. Not only did I learn so much about the Argentina healthcare system, specifically Obras Sociales, which was what my group did our presentation on I also learned much more. I was able to learn about each section of the system and have it broken down into smaller parts. Learning about the unions was most interesting to me as how you are allowed to choose which union you belong to if you are formally employed. I learned about the people around me, and their hobbies, ideas, interests, and some of the things they love. I was also able to learn so much about some of the cultural aspects of Argentina during some of the cultural activities we participated in.
This whole trip was so rewarding and I am so grateful that I had the opportunity to go. I learned so much about not only the healthcare system but also the business side of everything that goes with it. I got to meet some of the best people, that I never would have met, or talked to if it was not for this trip.
I love you Argentina!!!
