Day 6: Landsberg am Lech

Today I woke up feeling relaxed and excited to explore a new village in the suburbs of Munich, Germany. Landsberg am Lech is most famously known for being the town in which Adolf Hitler was imprisoned in 1923. During his time in prison there, he wrote his book Mein Kampf. Aside from its heavy past, it also is recognized for a historic salt road that crosses over a river connecting the town hall and a scenic trail.

Upon arriving in Landsberg, we ventured off independently to explore the town hall and some shops. I picked up a pastry from a local bakery and sat outside with some friends. I enjoyed people-watching and looking at different types of dogs that would pass by.

I loved walking through the town most because of the colorful buildings and unique shops. I passed by a stunning flower stand and picked up some berries to eat.

The sun held up for the entire day which I was so grateful for. After walking around for a couple of hours, we made our way back to the bus to return to Augsburg. It was so wonderful to walk around a new village and explore the suburbs of Munich!
