Augsburg Day 7 – Feeling at Home

Today was another day full of excitement in Germany and one I was particularly excited about going to Munich. The city was jam packed with pedestrians much more than we have seen yet in Germany. It was a very fast moving city with a lot going on. Our tour was very insightful on the history and culture of the town hall as well as the city itself.

After our tour we had time to explore the city ourselves. We headed over to the original Hofbrauhaus which was very special to me since I waitress at the chain in Pittsburgh. I took a lot of pictures and was taking the full experience in so I am able to report back to my coworkers and boss about the aura at the original. Although very different in structure, menu options, and restaurant operations, it felt like home! I bought a souvenir mug and postcard to bring back to the states to let those at work know I was thinking of them on my trip.

After the Hofbrauhaus we did some shopping around the city and got to take it all in. Piper and I stopped into Urban Outfitters and bought a few things that I will forever associate with my trip to Munich and will hold close to my heart.

After our quick paced day we had group dinner at a burger place. I enjoy time spent with the whole group. We took turns giving hauls of what we bought during our shopping trips and debriefed about the city in general.
