Hi, I am Alexis! I am first year student at the Swanson School, majoring in Industrial Engineering. I have always had a passion of working with people and helping to make things more efficient and effective. With this in mind I feel like IE is the right path for my skillset.

I have spent a lot of time diving into my Greek culture. My grandparents came from Greece in their 20’s and settled in Pittsburgh. I am fluent in Greek and spent many years in Greek school learning about the language and culture that I am from. It is because of them that I have such strong connection across the globe with family all throughout Greece and Germany. I love to travel, go to the beach, taste new cultures, and immerse myself in the diversity that visiting another country brings.

I chose Cyprus because of the educational opportunities it will provide about the port city that brings in so many innovative companies as well as revenue. I hope to one day work for a company that has many global alliances so getting abroad more is step in that direction. I am thrilled to get to go on this amazing opportunity and I cannot wait to get to know everyone!
