Hello everyone! My name is Max Beecher, I am currently a sophomore dual majoring in Accounting & Finance with minors in Economics & History. After my four years at Pitt I aspire to work at a big 4 accounting firm either in a major city, hopefully Boston. This summer I will probably work in Lancaster, my home town, then move to Pittsburgh full time next year. In my free time I go to an MMA gym in the Southside, I watch a lot of sports, I like to golf and spend time with my friends.
This May I will be adventuring to Augsburg, Germany. I am most excited to learn more about the German automotive industry and meet the students at the University of Augsburg. Last year I was lucky enough to travel to Seoul, South Korea, shoutout Dr. Yun and Chris. I made lasting relationships with the people in my group and learned a lot about Korean culture. So, after last year’s trip I knew I had to run it back. Germany interests me because of their unique culture and great food. I know a few kids on the trip but I am excited to meet knew people too.
Professionally speaking, I cannot wait to broaden my global perspectives, gain insights on the German auto industry, and make new connections with the German students. Plus3 is one of the best programs that Pitt offers. Traveling abroad gives you a learning experience unattainable in a classroom and allows for a valuable professional and cultural understanding.
