Cyprus is Calling

Hi, my name is Jordan Glassman, and I’m a freshman at the University of Pittsburgh College of Business Administration from outside of Philadelphia. I am majoring in Marketing and Supply Chain Management, with certificates in Sustainability and Innovation & Entrepreneurship. I plan on using my degree to market hybrid and electric vehicles. Last spring, I worked on a month-long research project analyzing numerous automotive manufacturers’ sustainability strategies and initiatives. On campus, I am involved in Chabad, Hillel, Alpha Kappa Psi, Sigma Alpha Mu, and most notably, in further pursuit of obtaining my goal, panther racing—marketing the electric F1 car, crowdfunding, and helping to run events.

I chose the Plus3 program in Cyprus because it offers a unique opportunity to explore supply chain management in a global context, while also allowing me to travel to a destination I might not have considered otherwise. I’m particularly interested in how international logistics and trade networks operate, and Cyprus—being a hub between Europe, Asia, and Africa—provides an ideal setting to study these interactions. Through Plus3, I hope to gain a deeper understanding of how global markets function and influence one another, especially as I plan to pursue a career in automotive sustainability, where efficient and ethical supply chains play a critical role.
