Hey Everyone! My name is Brian Kijowski and I am from Freeport Pennsylvania, about 30 minutes northeast of Pittsburgh. I am a freshman at the University of Pittsburgh double majoring in Finance and Business Analytics. I have always been interested in financial markets and how data analytics can drive business to make informed decisions.

On campus, I am part of Panther Equity and League of Emerging Analytics Professionals (LEAP). I also plan on joining a Professional Business Fraternity during my sophomore year in the fall to continue my professional development. In my free time I like to stay active by lifting weights at the gym and playing basketball and I also like to hang out with friends.

For my Plus3 study abroad experience, I selected South Korea. I have always been interested in traveling, and this program felt like a great opportunity to travel internationally while gaining academic and professional insights. I am also very excited to experience Korean culture first hand and learn how technology and data analytics play a role in smart systems there. 

Professionally, I hope this experience helps me build a more global mindset and understand international business practices. Personally, I hope to make friendships and connections that will last beyond my years here at the University of Pittsburgh. I also hope to learn about Korea’s culture and fully immerse myself in everything the trip has to offer.
