Hi, my name is Susu Hejazi and I am a student in the College of Business Administration class of 2028. I am a dual finance and accounting major with plans to earn my CPA license post-grad. At the University of Pittsburgh, I am involved in five extracurricular organizations including University of Pittsburgh Accounting Association, Speech Team, Pitt Planning Committee, Ballet Club, and Street Flow at Pitt. I am a participant and group leader in the Pitt Plus 3 2025 trip to Korea. I selected Korea as my Plus 3 location on account of a strong Korean influence in my life while I was growing up. This sparked my curiosity and love of Korea’s food and culture from an early age making Korea the perfect choice for my first college abroad program. I am also enamored with the numerous breathtaking cultural sites and natural areas in the country that we will be able to explore.
Academically I am also interested in Korea as it is one of the largest pioneers of smart systems in the world, and as technology continues to advance more and more of the world may look and operate how Korea does today. Our time in Korea will include both company visits and meetings with professionals, thus providing a unique chance to explore the country’s corporate culture and provide chances for me to enhance my professional skills and knowledge. I am extremely excited for our group’s upcoming trip to Korea and continuing to update this blog with details of my travels, until next time!
