Hi everyone! My name is Addison Keady, and I am from Colorado Springs, Colorado. I am a freshman at the University of Pittsburgh pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. I have many areas of interest in radiology, orthopedics, and anesthesia, and eventually, I want to become a Nurse Practitioner. On campus, I am an active member of the Nursing Student Association, and I am also in the Frederick Honors College. I love to travel and be outside, try new foods, workout, and hang out with friends. I love experiencing new things, and I am always up for an adventure!

This summer for Plus3, I will be traveling to Spain. I chose this program because it aligns with my interest in technology in healthcare. In fact, I almost decided to major in biochemical engineering, but I ultimately chose nursing due to the patient care aspect of nursing. I am excited to see new and innovative practices in healthcare and the differences in healthcare in Spain compared to the United States. I am also excited to see and experience the culture of Balboa. This is such a unique opportunity, and I am grateful for the diverse exposure that I will gain to help broaden my perspective and experiences for my nursing career and just life in general. Additionally, I am excited to get the chance to form friendships with both nursing students and engineering students. I cannot wait to explore Balboa, and I am so excited to make lifelong memories!
