Hello! My name is Alexandria Franck, and I go by Allie. I am a nursing student at the University of Pittsburgh, finishing my first year. This summer, I will participate in the Plus 3 Program, joined by my fellow nursing and business students here at Pitt on a study abroad trip to Buenos Aires, Argentina!

On the trip, we will be learning about how the Healthcare system in Argentina is managed and the various challenges facing it. We will be taught how the system is financed and the stakeholders, such as the public sector, private sector, unions, and the Health Ministries overseeing them. While I am very excited to learn about how other countries manage their healthcare systems with unique challenges, including political history, globalization, and more, that’s not what I am most excited about.

I cannot wait to learn more about the rich Argentinian culture through different experiences such as museums, dancing, and trying the local cuisine. I also hope to improve my Spanish skills on the trip and explore the beautiful city.
