Hello, my name is Alexa Sefing. I just finished my first year as a student at the University of Pittsburgh College of Business Administration and the Frederick Honors College studying Marketing and Global Management with a minor in Spanish and a certificate in Sustainability. Over the past three years, I have pursued creative and entrepreneurial endeavors, while working as a server, assistant chef, production assistant and event staff. I am most happy when I am able to apply myself to a project I am passionate about- especially in leadership positions.
I am someone who will almost always say “yes” to new experiences! I’m known to go on spontaneous adventures as they arise. I still cherish memories from a week-long canoeing trip I took at age 13 alongside 11 strangers. I absolutely love meeting new people, spending time outdoors, and everything music. In the future, I hope to bring a global perspective and sustainability focus to my career.
I’m so excited to be traveling with the Plus3 Ecuador program! I’ve chosen this program because it offers an opportunity to merge all of my greatest interests in one trip by immersing me in Spanish dialect, sustainable practices, and the intricacies of policy around the world. I hope to practice my Spanish-speaking abilities and open my eyes to a different approach to production than the US’s system. I know I will hold onto these experiences and apply them to my future career.
