Hi!! My name is Lauren Novack and I am from Montgomery County, Pennsylvania. I just finished my first year at the University of Pittsburgh’s College of Business Administration, where I’m studying finance and accounting. On campus, I’m involved in Smart Women Securities and Women in Business. In my free time, I love going to the gym, trying new restaurants, playing sports, and spending time with friends and my dog, Bailey :). I’m also the youngest of three siblings and am adopted!

This May, I’m heading to Argentina with Pitt’s Plus3 program to study the country’s healthcare system and explore how hospitals and clinics operate as well as learn the business side of it as well. I chose this location because I wanted to experience a culture that’s both rich in history and so different from my own. I’m especially interested in how Argentina’s healthcare system compares to the U.S., and I’m excited to learn about how economic and political factors shape access to care around the world.

What I’m most looking forward to is gaining a more global perspective—both personally and professionally. I’m excited to connect what I’ve learned in class to real-world experiences through site visits and cultural immersion. I can’t wait to explore Buenos Aires, try Argentinian food, improve my Spanish, and grow through the challenges and adventures that come with international travel. I feel incredibly lucky to have this opportunity so early in my college experience and am excited to get started!
