Introduction: Ella Cool

Hello! My name is Ella Cool, and I’m from Chester County, Pennsylvania. I just wrapped up my first year in the College of Business Administration at the University of Pittsburgh, where I plan to major in marketing and business analytics. On campus, I’m a staff writer for the Pitt News sports desk and an active member of both the Sports Business Association and Oakland Cares, a club dedicated to supporting Pittsburgh’s unhoused community.

This May, I’m thrilled to participate in Pitt’s Plus3 study abroad program in Buenos Aires, Argentina, where I’ll explore the country’s healthcare system and study the business operations of hospitals. I chose this program because I wanted to step outside my comfort zone, immerse myself in a new culture, and learn how essential industries function around the world. When I decided to come to Pitt, I was especially drawn to the global opportunities offered through Pitt Business, and I feel incredibly fortunate to be going abroad after just my first year.

As someone who has never traveled internationally, I’m excited for the chance to challenge myself and grow both personally and professionally. I’m looking forward to applying what I’ve learned in the classroom in a real-world international setting while gaining a deeper global perspective. I’m especially excited to explore the vibrant culture of Buenos Aires, trying new foods, exploring the city, and practicing Spanish in everyday conversations.
