After getting into Cyprus last evening/very early this morning my roommate Noah and I took the time to figure out everything fancy in the hotel room, like the automatic settings for lights and blinds. This morning most of us had breakfast around 9:40 where I had a very filling meal of peanut butter banana pancakes. After that we took a short bus ride to the University of Nicosia – and noted the Burger King , McDonalds, and stray cat on the way there. There we received important information about the trip regarding the Cypriot culture and safety, then ended the first part of the day with a short lecture on Cypriot foods that included tasting examples of a starter plate, main course, and dessert. My favorite part of the meal was the grilled Halloumi cheese sandwich.
