Day 2 first started with a delicious breakfast at the hotel and then quickly getting on the bus early on the morning. We were able to visit the Suwon Hwaseong fortress, where we were greeted by amazing views and architecture. Additionally, when we were there, we were given the opportunity to do some archery, which may have been the highlight of my day. After archery, we continued walking around the fortress and then were able t o get lunch. Our tour guide showed us a spot to get a quick and cheap lunch. At this place, we ordered spicy cold noodles, along with two different tteobaki dishes that were delicious. This was my first time trying tteobokki and it was delicious.

After visiting the fortress and getting food, we headed off to the Samsung headquarters, where we visited the Samsung Innovation Museum. At this museum, it showcased the history of technology in the world, and we also got to experience the technology Samsung is currently developing. It was mind-blowing to believe how well Samsung takes care of their employees, for they provide free breakfast, lunch, and dinner, along with having a hospital on the campus for the workers.
We finished off our day with looking through Myeongdang a bit more, taking the subway home, and hanging out with fellow classmates. Today was a great day, and I hope this trip keeps it up!
After the museum, we headed towards Myeondong, which is the main shopping center in Seoul. My biggest takeaway was the overwhelming feel of the area and the abundance of beauty shops. Although it was a bit overwhelming, the vast number of stores, people, and street vendors was a spectacle that I thoroughly enjoyed. We had our welcome dinner at a fancy restaurant after our shopping. Here. I was able to try on a traditional Korean outfit. The dinner was also tasty, but very unique and authentic. I enjoy being able to try other cuisines’ authentic food, even if it’s not my favorite. Lastly, after dinner, we had a race to a dessert place, where we did not win this time, but we came in third rather than fourth (last), which is an improvement we will have to make. The desert was almost a shaved ice with ice cream type of dish, which is very unique to me.
