On day 2 we had our chocolate tastings. We first went to Yumbos in Quito. We tried various chocolates. There were tangerines, ginger, coffee, and various other flavors. We also had this delicious hot chocolate and brownie. After the chocolate tastings we were able to purchase any of the flavors. I bought a tangerine flavored bar. Afterwards we went to lunch. We went to a beautiful restaurant located in a large plaza. The restaurant was called Hasta la Vuelta Senor. Afterward we traveled to a chocolate factory called Bios. We learned about the owners history with chocolate and the factors for taste in chocolate. The we got to taste more flavors of chocolate. I ended up purchasing the raspberry and caramelized macadamia . After that we went to another lodge in Pedro Moncayo. We had dinner then went to the fire pit and enjoyed some music. That’s the end to day 2.

Beginning day 3 we set out to visit a rose greenhouse. We learned about care for roses, customer demand, and the different types of roses. We also were gifted beautiful roses. Afterward we headed back to the lodge for lunch. After lunch we went to a building where we learned a bit of the culture and community in Moncayo. Afterward we were able to play soccer and volleyball with students near Ecuador also on a trip. It was raining but we all had fun. We then packed and ate our last meal at the lodge. We then traveled an hour to a city and we are currently staying at a hotel. The hotel has a gorgeous view and we were able to get a balcony with the view. And that’s a wrap to our third day.
