Day 2 In Bilbao!

After an exciting first day, day two did not disappoint. To begin, we went to the Bilbao School of Engineering, and visited student clubs. This included the FSAE team, an electric guitar club, and a rocket launching team. These clubs were very similar to options at Pitt, but they are seemingly better ran, with faculty help. In addition, working with student at Pitt with SGB, I was curious about their funding. The school does not give them any money, they are fully self funded! However, they are also paying significantly less in tuition. The electric guitar club is definitely something I would participate in at Pitt, which included a lot of familiar circuit components and stuff that I am very excited to learn more about in Electrical engineering.

The Bilbao school of engineering is also much older than I thought. They have been around for years, even before the University they are a part of! I also love the type of industrial engineering that they have here, it seems like something they would be useful at Pitt (basically an intro to all disciplines, specialize at the end).

After our lunch at the school, we went to the team store for Bilbao. Hopefully the cafe opens again soon, which is inside the stadium. We then did a walking tour of old town, which is truly such a cool area. It is very pedestrian friendly, and it has a lot of cool restaurants to get Pinxtos at. The buildings were old and beautiful, and definitely a place to frequently visit while here.

Today was overall very balanced, with some very cool educational experiences as well as   a lot of cultural experiences.
