Today was full of company visits. We started the day by getting breakfast and then preparing to leave for HY/Fredit. Fredit is a company that produces a drinking yogurt filled with probiotics. Their yogurt is very well known inside of Korea and has become a staple of their culture. We got to tour one of their manufacturing plants outside of Seoul.

The first thing you notice about their plant is how clean it is and how much they take cleanliness into account. We all had to remove our shoes and put on slides before the tour started. They also have an air tunnel that you walk through to remove any extra dust off of you. This is all in an effort to make sure that their facilities and their product stay clean. No pictures were allowed in the facility so I couldn’t take any. A large portion of their facility is automated, from the production of the bottles to the yogurt. They also had some interactive games that people played while they learned about the company.

After the HY/Fredit visit, we went to lunch and visited TK Elevators. We got a tour of their facility and manufacturing. They are a company that designs elevators for many buildings around the world. We also got to do some fun interactive stuff with simulated drops in an elevator, which was very fun. Then we headed back to the hotel.
