Today, our day began with a presentation on the Bilbao School of Engineering. We learned about how their school runs, the degrees they offer, and how long it takes to get them. The most shocking part of the presentation for me was their cost of education, thousands of dollars lower than ours in the United States. Afterwards, we got to opportunity to see three really cool projects that the engineering students are working on. The first was recyclable guitars, which combines the principles of STEM with the creative touch of art and the bonus of sustainability. This was one of my favorite parts of the day, especially when the teachers allowed us to try the guitars.

In the afternoon, we took a walking tour of the city. Our guide provided a lot of interesting insights and history. I love seeing the older parts of the city because the architecture is just so unique. The streets remind me of Amsterdam, but Bilbao definitely has its own unique touch.
