Today, we woke up very early and left the hotel at 7 AM for our company visit at Hyundai. Since we left before the hotel breakfast began, we were given a boxed lunch by Jinny. The lunch was quite tasty, including fruit, a sandwich, and some mochi with red bean. After a long drive south, we arrived at the Hyundai Asan Factory. Unfortunately, we were unable to take photos while on the tour, but seeing the sheer size of the factory along with the \. being able to see the cars transform from simply sheets of metal into an automobile on the road was fascinating. Additionally, the number of robots and autonomy in the machine was mind-blowing. They showed statistics that some parts of the manufacturing process were up to 89% autonomous. These machines ranged from robots that carried material remotely following a magnetic track under the ground, to machines that assembled car doors and could exert thousands of pounds of pressure to punch holes in the metal.

After the Hyundai Asan factory visit, we stopped at a rest stop and got some snacks. The rest stops in Korea are much more complex and have more tasty food options than the ones in America. I got a Korean corn dog for just over $2. We then continued our bus ride to the location of the river cruise, where we got to enjoy our bento-box lunch and some more free time where we played hacky-sack with a group of guys.
When we eventually boarded the cruise, we took some group photos and fed the seagulls with small pieces of dried-up fish. It was fun being able to hold out the fish for the seagulls to come and grab right out of my hand. Some people even threw the fish out, and the seagulls caught it right out of the air. I thoroughly enjoyed being on the cruise, enjoying the breeze, the presence of my friends, and the beautiful city of Seoul.
