Seoul Day 4!

Today was the earliest I have woken up in a long time. Our group visited Hyundai, which was about 2 hours away. I woke up around 6:30, and the bus left at 6:50. I slept most of the way over and then we arrived. The Hyundai facility was massive. To get to different parts of the factory, we had to take a bus. On the tour, we learned about the process of making cars. We walked through the factory, avoiding all the forklifts and traffic. Most of the sections were run by machines pressing and molding material into the correct shape. Then it would be passed along, adding a new thing at each step. Then we got to the assembly line where there were workers. They worked quickly, putting the back seats into the car and making sure everything was correct. The process was lightning fast, and the most interesting statistic was that every 50 seconds, a vehicle was made.

After the tour, we drove about an hour to the Han River. On the river, people drove boats and jet skis. On the side of it, there was a nice park and path for people to enjoy the beautiful weather outside. While waiting for our boat, we were playing hacky sack. I was giving full effort, even trying to bicycle kick the ball when it was close to out of reach. By the end, we all started to get the hang of it. While we were playing, a little kid came up to me with a ball and these two glove-like things. His mom asked me to play catch with him, so I did. I threw him groundballs and popups, making it difficult for him to catch them. Finally, the boat was ready and we all hopped on. It was super relaxing on top of the boat with the nice breeze. The view was beautiful, and we got to see a lot of the cool buildings that the city had. It was a nice, relaxing day 4.
