Today at the Wargaming company visit, I learned a lot about the gaming industry. The thing that stood out to me the most was the way that this company treats their employees. From the very beginning, they were highlighting significant employee benefits such as the gym at the workplace and flexibility with working remotely. The aspect of the supply chain that comes to mind deals with the ways in which products are transported. Since this is a gaming company, all of their products use the electronic mode of transportation.
Before today, I didn’t realize how small Kakopetria Village is. It is a small village, but it is still really nice. Also, I knew that cats like to roam around in Cyprus, but this village really showed me that there are so many more that I ever would have thought. There were groups of cats every time I turned a corner. I was also expecting St. Nicholas of the Roof Church to be a lot bigger. I had always thought of monasteries as bigger churches, but I learned that is not necessarily the case. I also thought it was interesting that this church had a different interpretation of the crucifixion than I am used to seeing in Pittsburgh. This was a unique picture of Jesus on the cross where Jesus isn’t bleeding at all, which is not what I am used to hearing.
