To start the day we took the subway to our Taekwondo lesson which was something I was looking forward to because of my background in Taekwondo. During the lesson we had to try different punches, kicks and even got to break boards at the end. I noticed some differences in the style of teaching in this lesson and from my classes at the Taekwondo school I go to at home. It was interesting to see how Taekwondo was different in South Korea but also cool to see how similar this martial art was taught in a country half way across the world.
After the lesson we went to lunch where we had Korean BBQ. This was my first time ever having Korean BBQ and it didn’t disappoint. We got to cook our own food right at the table and enjoy it as soon as it was done.

Our next adventure was to the Seoul City Hall where we explored the old and new city hall buildings on a guided tour. It was interesting to hear about the past mayors and to visit their office while the current mayor was in a meeting right next door. The architecture of the buildings impressed me as they were very grand and one was made up of glass. After City Hall we went back to Myeongdong for more shopping where I got a facemask. I made sure to visit the stores I had not visited during our previous shopping trip so that I could experience all that Myeongdong had to offer. The day finished with a group dinner where we shared beef, rice and many other sides, also getting to cook the food right at the table.

Tomorrow we visit Yonsei University where it will be interesting to see what college is like in South Korea.
