This morning, I woke up not feeling great. I could tell something had been building up the last few days, but it really hit me last night. Even though I felt a little better this morning compared to yesterday, I figured it would be best to stay at the hotel and rest up.
After talking with Chris and Dr. Yun, we decided I should go to the doctor just to be safe. Since clinics are closed on weekends, we thought it’d be a smart idea to get checked out now in case things get worse later.
The doctor’s office opened at 9:00 a.m., and Dr. Yun and I headed out around 9:30. It was only a 10-minute walk down the street. When we got there, check-in was super fast, and I only waited about 10 minutes before being called in. That was such a surprise—at home, I feel like even with an appointment I’m waiting at least 20 minutes.
The doctor spoke to me through Dr. Yun, who translated everything. I told him how I’d been feeling, and he said he’d prescribe some medicine. The whole appointment was done in about 25 minutes! I couldn’t believe how quick and easy it was.
There was a pharmacy just down the street. I gave them the prescription, and the pharmacist had it ready in three minutes. Then Dr. Yun and I walked back to the hotel. From start to finish, the whole thing took about 40 minutes. That would’ve taken hours back in the U.S.
Once I got back, I spent most of the day resting. After a long nap, I woke up around 1:30 and walked across the street to a convenience store for lunch. I picked up carbonara ramen, chips, and berry ade. The ramen was so good, and the spice really helped me feel a bit better.

After lunch, I napped again. Now it’s evening, and I’m staying in and ordering food. Since it’s rainy, we’re having a cozy movie night in. Honestly, I already feel a lot better after resting all day.
Hopefully I’ll be feeling good enough to join the group for our cultural visits tomorrow!
