Day two kicked off with an early breakfast, and I was still definitely feeling the effects of all the travel from the day before. Even so, we had a packed day ahead of us. We made our way to Augsburg University, where we met the German students we’ll be partnered with for our company presentations. It was nice to finally connect with them and get the ball rolling on our project. After a few hours of collaboration, we gave our initial presentation, which I think went really well considering how early in the trip it is.
After the presentations, we got a tour of the university. The campus has a really laid-back feel to it—what stood out most to me was how naturally overgrown everything was. There’s greenery everywhere. It’s clear they really value their natural beauty here, and I honestly admire that a lot. It gives the place such a calm, authentic vibe.
In the afternoon, we had a mini scavenger hunt that ended with all of us meeting up at a beer garden. That was my first time trying authentic German beer, and it was honestly amazing—super refreshing after a long day. We ended the night with dinner at a local Italian restaurant, which was perfect since Italian food is one of my favorites. The food was great, and it was just a fun way to unwind with the group.
Looking forward to our first official company visit tomorrow—feels like the trip is really starting to take shape now.
