A Day In The Life

It is day 7 of our trip (one full week down one to go!) and today it rained, and rained, and rained. We had plans to visit a ranch but of course that being outside got canceled. So, instead we had a bit of a late start and enjoyed some study time in the morning followed by a lunch and museum tour!

To start our day we were able to meet with a former health minister and he walked us through the Argentinian health system, answering questions and giving us insights; it was very helpful in learning and understanding what we will need to create a presentation on. We were also able to get some time to work on our final presentations which was nice as it is something that looms overhead as a deliverable for this plus 3 course.

And to finish the day we toured a museum about one of Argentinas great females, Evita Peron. She was the wife of one of Argentinas greatest leaders Juan Peron, whose influence in politics is still felt today. Her museum was very cool and had lots about her life, her role in politics, and the type of things she did for the country, like women’s suffrage. All in all it was a very chill culture focused day where I was able to get a lot done and learn a lot.
