Day 7 – Museo Evita

We started the day with a short walk over to the IES office, where we had a presentation from Dr. Gabriel Novick, the head of Swiss Medical. He gave us a review session on the Argentine healthcare system, tying together everything we’ve learned over the past week. I found it really helpful and his talk helped me connect the dots and better understand how all the pieces of the system fit together. It felt like a great way to wrap up all the information we’ve been taking in.

After the session, we had about half an hour to work on our group presentations, then we headed out to the Museo Evita, which was about 30 minutes away. Before the tour, we had an amazing meal at the restaurant connected to the museum.

I had never heard of Eva Perón before this trip, but I was blown away by how much she accomplished in her short life. She passed away at just 33, but left a huge impact on Argentina. The museum really brought her story to life and gave me a better understanding of her influence on the country’s history and politics.

After the museum, we headed back to the hotel, where I was more than ready for some much needed rest. It’s been a packed week, but today helped me reflect on how far we’ve come in understanding Argentina’s culture and healthcare system.
