For our fifth day of plus3 we took the bus out to Ingolstadt to visit the Audi headquarters, factory and museum. Going into this day I did not know what to expect since I am not super knowledgable on cars, and all of the factories we had visited prior produced smaller parts rather than huge machines.
The first thing we did was visit the audi museum which had so many cool cars to look at, along with some interactive parts and a lot of cool hsitory about Audi and the cars they’ve produced. It was really cool to see how the technology evolved over time since the cars are organized chronologically.

Next, we visited the Audi factory which really blew me away. Seeing the big cars being worked on was so wild to see and it amazed me how organized they managed to be when working with such large objects. One thing the tour guide mentioned is how each car has parts that are individual to that car, like the side the steering wheels on, what on the dashboard, etc. so if a piece is missed, it cant just be replaced by the next one in line. This blew me away because it seems like so much to keep track of and required such a high attention to detail so I was definitely impressed.
After visiting Audi we had some free time to explore Augsburg more and me and some friends found a great Italian restaurant which was an amazing way to close out a great day.
