We started our day by meeting with Dr. Gabriel Novick, the head of Swiss Medical, who led a review session covering the history of the healthcare system, further explaining the unions and how they work, and going over everything we’ve learned so far. After several days packed with new information, this session helped us piece it all together, making the big picture much clearer and easier to understand. We then had some time to work in our groups and begin planning our presentations for the upcoming week.
Next, we headed to the Museo Evita for a quick lunch, followed by a walking tour of the museum. While I had heard of the musical about her life, I’d never seen it, so the tour offered a fresh and informative look at Evita’s legacy. We learned about her pivotal role in women’s suffrage—earning the law the nickname “Evita’s Law”—as well as her efforts to professionalize nursing and her work to improve access to food and school supplies through her foundation. After completing our itinerary for the day, some of us headed out to explore and shop. Cant wait for tomorrow!
