Our morning began with a nice breakfast at the hotel. Fueled and ready, we headed to a Taekwondo class where we were introduced to the basics of this traditional Korean martial art. From learning simple stances to throwing a few kicks and punches, the class was both challenging and fun. The highlight was being able to break a piece of wood.

After our class, we made our way down to the area around Seoul City Hall. Underneath the bustling city was a fascinating underground museum dedicated to King Sejong, one of Korea’s most respected historical figures. The exhibit was both interesting and informative, giving us a deeper understanding of one of Korea’s famous leaders.

Lunch was a return to one of our favorites, Korean BBQ. Just like the first time, it didn’t disappoint. The sizzling meats, all the side dishes, and conversations made it a perfect break.
In the afternoon, we toured Seoul City Hall. The most memorable part was exploring both the new and old buildings. We toured the council room, explored the former mayor’s office, and even had the chance to sit behind the old mayor’s desk.

To wrap up our day, we headed to Myeongdong, one of Seoul’s most vibrant shopping districts. We visited a cat café, where we relaxed and played with a variety of cats, although most of them were sassy, it was still fun. Later, we enjoyed a comforting bulgogi dinner before spending the rest of the evening exploring the lively streets, shopping for souvenirs, and soaking in the energy of the city at night.
