Baegunbongammun mountain and a cooking class
Today a small group of us started off bright and early at 6:30am to go hiking. We were set to have a two hour long hike up Baegunbongammun mountain which is the highest peak in Seoul at an altitude of 836m. We first had the long journey of getting to the mountain which included an hour of busses and a 30 minute up and down walk from the bus stop to the start of the trail. After this journey we finial arrived at the 1.4km trail most of which is uphill and some rock climbing. It took an hour and 15 to climb to very topmost point of the peak with absolutely stunning views of Seoul and the surrounding areas. We had to cross streams as well as pull ourselves up steep slippery slopes to reach the peak. Though the trail was long, difficult, and sometimes scary, the views at the end were worth it. Only one injury of mine occurred with a small scratch on my hand but otherwise an accident-free trip despite the many small slips in the group. we were able to see both a small buddhist temple as well as some feral cats on our way up which was a real unexpected treat. Overall one of the best and most challenging hiking experiences of my life and I highly recommend for anyone who loves the outdoors and comes to Seoul!

At the end we were all exhausted and I went back to the hotel for a much-needed shower and a bit of rest before our next activity.
Before we knew it the hiking crew was whisked away to a traditional Korean cooking class with the group. We met Hyewon a famous chef for many different shows and K-Dramas like Squid Games and Hello Kitty. It was very fun and the food itself that we ate we extremely delicious. Afterward I was absolutely exhausted and after a short trip to olive young and a sweet treat I went straight to bed.

Signing off until next time!
