I think today was by far the coolest day of the trip so far. Thanks to one of my groupmates Nick who took the time and efforts to cordinate an alternative event for whoever in the trip wanted to we got the chance to hike a trail in Bukhansan National Park. We had the choice to either go on this trip or go see the Seoul Tower and obviously I and a few others chose the hike. We had to get up at the crack of dawn and depart the hotel by 6:30 am. We took two buses to meet up with two alumni at Grace and Will who are enrolled through ROTC in Korea at the bus stop closest to the entrance of the park. We walked a half hour to the gate of the trail and finally begun our hike. The hike was difficult I will not lie it was a fairly steep hike that in total was 4 miles round trip and took us a little over two hours. Despite the difficulty it was quite worth it. The view at the top was something I have never seen before. It was truly stunning.

After our hike me and a few peers went to the Coex mall once again to get some lunch. It took us over an hour to get there but it was worth it due to the tasty sandwiches we got from Shake Shack. I was quite hungry so I got a smoke shack burger a chicken sandwich and fries. It was quite delicious.

Afterwards we returned back to the hotel to freshen up. We had to hurry a bit due to having a cooking class scheduled at 4:50pm. Unfortunately as we arrived I was not feeling quite well (probably due to the exhaustion of the hike) and I returned back to the hotel with my peer John. I rested for a bit and then grew hungry so me and John went out to grab a bite. We decided on this Korean BBQ place near our hotel. We got 8 ounces of steak and 5 ounces of pork loin and it was really good. Korean BBQ is probably the thing I will miss most about Korea. After our dinner we explored the city a bit and then settled on ice cream at a local shop. It was different from normal ice cream as it was milk flavored. At first I did not think there would be any difference but after trying it I would say it is indeed very different but in a good way. FInally after our dessert we wrapped up and headed back to the hotel. I finally came around to doing my laundry as it has been a week and after showered and went to bed. This was another great day in the books and I look forward to the remaining days to come.
