D11: Final Presentations

Today was our final day all together and we presented our final presentations. The night prior I slept terribly and had a late start to the day which was rough. I quickly got dressed and sped over to the university so I could collab with my group before the presentations started around noon. Our group was MAN which I really enjoyed researching and working on, but given that it was the first visit and the lecture was last Friday I felt like I had to really focus to remember some details when construction our presentation. This was especially important as I worked on the Assessment part. Although it was a little subjective on the future they would have I felt like the lecture and company visit provided key information as to whether or not they would succeed in the future. After a little work and a little food at the Mensa (the university cafeteria) we headed to the main room as we had to present first. Given that I was the assessment I went last in my group and throughout the presentation I was a nervous for how my portion would go. When it finally came to me I think my part went well despite a couple stutters and slip ups, I tried to make good eye contact throughout my time and not read off my slides which I think went well. When we were done We had a couple questions and I tried to answer them in addition to my teammates and I thought we answered them well.

Getting ours out of the way first was nice as we could relax and listen to every else over the next couple of hours. The order went us (MAN), Hoerbiger, Continental, GROB, and finally Audi. I thought everyone’s presentations went really well and you could really tell how much we absorbed throughout the last two weeks. I think we really showed how good of questions we asked and how much we have absorbed since we first met back in January and February which feels like forever ago. Following the presentations we had a brief meeting recapping everything and talking about the logistics for dinner and the next two days. I then headed back to the hotel and relaxed for a little before heading to the farewell dinner which was amazing. It was so nice seeing our German friends one last time and the two hours flew by. Saying goodbye at the end was really difficult, because I know many I won’t see again but I appreciated it nonetheless. I finally went back to the hotel before our free day the next day.
