Day 10 – Grob and Work Day

Today was a fairly straightforward day that was a relief for some. We visited Grob, a robotics manufacturer that has been engaged in markets all across the globe. We entered the factory campus with little expectations, but left thoroughly impressed. The buildings were clean an modern, and upon entering the presentation room we were offered free snacks of soft drinks -a great way to win over hungry and tired college student.

The presentation was very interesting, highlighting Grob’s strengths as a private company and ability to make decisions on it’s own, along with it’s worldwide reputation for performance. The factory tour was equally impressive, showing off their aluminum 3D printers with fun designs. Besides that, the factories were clean, highly automated, and organized.

After the tour, we had the rest of the day to ourselves. Seeing as our final presentations are tomorrow most took the time to work. I worked, took a quick break to get some doner kebab (which was delicious), then back to work. I practiced my slides and felt confident for my presentation in the morning.
