Hello! My name is Regan Gindlesperger, and I am a junior at the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown, majoring in early childhood education. I will graduate in May 2027. I am 21 years old and have explored several career paths. After graduating high school in 2023, I was initially accepted to Juniata College to study accounting. Just two weeks before move-in, I realized I wanted to pursue nursing instead. I completed a year of nursing school at PennWest Clarion and a nursing internship at UPMC. After much prayer and reflection, I discovered my true passion lies in education, which led me to transfer to UPJ to focus on early childhood education.
Outside of academics, I am the youngest of four in my family—six if you count my two adorable puppies, Cash and Dixie. I have been dancing for 19 years and currently teach at Studio 7 School of Dance. Dance has been both a passion and an outlet for me since I was two years old, and being able to continue doing what I love is a true blessing. I am also engaged to the love of my life, Walker, and planning our wedding has been an exciting adventure! Life is full of opportunities and blessings, and I am continually in awe of God’s goodness. I trust that my faith will guide me through all of life’s endeavors, and I hope that through my actions, others can see the light of Jesus.

Despite my hectic life outside of school, I eagerly jumped at the opportunity to study abroad. I love to travel and explore other cultures, which makes the chance to go to Birmingham, England, an adventure I am truly excited about. Studying in England will allow me to experience new cultures firsthand and broaden my understanding of diversity. Personally, I have never traveled without my family, so I hope this experience will help me grow in independence and responsibility. Academically and professionally, my main goal is to deepen my understanding of others so that I can create a culturally responsive classroom that supports all of my future students.
