Hi everyone! My name is Andrew Leon, from Dallas, Texas, and I am a freshman at the University of Pittsburgh studying global management and marketing. I’m someone who loves soccer and basketball. My favorite teams are Arsenal and the Boston Celtics. I also love exploring new music and movies. I currently work for Pitt Men’s basketball as a creative media intern. I’m involved on campus with Delta Sigma Pi and Incline Consulting Group. Professionally, I am aspiring to become a business owner with my own firm in the entertainment industry.

I chose the Plus3 Vietnam program because of the country’s unique position as a rapidly growing global hub for manufacturing and technology. While many look toward traditional Western markets, I wanted to immerse myself in Southeast Asia to understand the complexities of the global supply chain and the cultural nuances of doing business in a high-growth economy. I’m extremely excited to visit our site-visit partners to see how local industries balance traditional practices with modern innovation. Additionally, I want to challenge my comfort zone by navigating a culture and language entirely different from my own. Academically, I want to be a sponge and absorb as much info as possible. Professionally, I want to maintain connections with as many students and faculty at UEF as possible to grow my global network.
