Hi, my name is Emily Stephan and I am a nursing major at the University of Pittsburgh at Greensburg. I grew up originally in New York State but moved to Pennsylvania where I went to middle and high school in a small town called Kane.

Some things that I enjoy doing include: Reading romance books, hiking, going on sidequests with my friends and playing with my dog, Scout.

I have decided to be a part of the Plus 3 Study Abroad Program that is going to the United Kingdom. I chose this program because I graduated with just under 100 kids and have never left the country before. I want to see the world and have a better understanding of what life is like for others, especially nursing students. 

I hope to gain knowledge on how the United Kingdom runs and what schooling and the healthcare system is like. I also hope to try a bunch of new foods as I am a very picky eater and want to break that habit while surrounded with European culture.
