Espress-Oh! We’re at UNIC!

Day one in Athens was filled with lots of new customs, beautiful views, and interesting activities. Today, we used the Anthoupoli – Helliniko line to travel to the University of Nicosia’s Athens location. On the way to the metro, we passed various small shops and businesses, as well as residential areas. The metro was quick and easy to navigate; and the University tour was very thorough and interesting. My favorite part of the tour was seeing the various machines and facilities provided by the University; specifically, the massive backup generator built in case of a power failure. Looking back on today, I’ll always remember my first walk around the city, admiring the street art and getting my first espresso. Moving forward, I’m excited to learn more about UNIC’s relationship to the city as well as the dynamics between industry and community!
