Hour Zero: The Journey

Today we headed off to South Korea! I started the day sitting in the Pittsburgh Airport waiting to fly to Atlanta. That flight was only about two hours, so it went by pretty quickly. Once we got to Atlanta, we had a seven-hour layover, which felt really long. I used that time to finish one of my final essays, so even though waiting in the airport was not very exciting, I was able to get something important done. One funny part of the layover was seeing a dog in the Atlanta airport that was painted to look like a giraffe. It was really random, but it made the long wait a little more interesting.

After the layover, we had a fifteen-hour flight to Seoul. I was worried about how long the flight would feel, but I actually ended up sleeping almost the entire time except for about two hours. That made the flight feel a lot easier than I expected. The food on the plane was okay, but nothing too special. Overall, it was a long travel day, but I was excited knowing that we were finally on our way to South Korea.
