Greek History, Gyros, and Future Goals

on

Over the past few days in Greece, I have gotten to experience a variety of both cultural and historical learning. As I’ve had time to reflect I realized how important it is to appreciate what I have been experiencing. A few of my favorite highlights so far have been the Acropolis and the Greek cooking class we enjoyed. Both have been valuable experiences in both similar and distinct manners. Participating in the cooking class really gave me an appreciation of the Greek culture and their pride in their work. The cooks were who were in charge of teaching us how to cook the traditional Gyro dish were really enthusiastic about their culture and wanted to share it with us. I hope that similar to these nice people that I met there that I can take this attitude and apply it to my future career and have the pride to share my work with others and work with passion. Similarly when I visiting the Acropolis inspired me as it was wild to see the labors of humans hundreds of years ago still standing and the sheer size of the buildings amazed me. This also inspired me but in a different way. I think seeing this made me realize that I want to contribute to creating and designing, as an engineer in the future, structures
