Over the last few days, I have learned about Greek culture and history through visiting the Acropolis, walking through downtown Athens, taking a cooking class, and visiting multiple museums, where I learned about the meanings and significance of some of the Greek statues. These experiences have made me question how the historical events of Greece have shaped their culture. It has helped me deepen my appreciation of other cultures and of others’ differences. When working in the future, I will be better able to understand people from different backgrounds and cultures. I will take this new mindset with me into my career and question what past events have shaped the actions of my co-workers and teammates, helping me be more empathetic towards them and effective as a teammate.
